| | The guitar was and still is the king of the acoustic blues, but some musicians doubled on the banjo now and then to get some variation. Since we're generally talking about guitarists doubling on the banjo, the guitar-banjo is by far the most used instrument here. That doesn't mean other types doesn't work, though. Just have a look at Fred Sokolow's book!
